Quilts for kids...in a way

I'm trying to organize my pictures - which I think we can all agree is a lifetime job that will never ever get "done" - but I'm prompted to show some more old quilts.

I made this for Charlotte...now a big girl waiting (anxiously I hope) for a new little sister:

I made this for Elaine's first granddaughter - I won some of the blocks at a retreat in July 2011 I think (?) and added some.

I made small blocks using the fabric from Michael's boxers and framed them for Adriane and Steve and for us.  I think they turned out really well.  Personally, I think it's a sweet little remembrance.

And a strippy block for Steve:

We miss you, sweet pea

HI!

First blog post....for years it seems I'd finish a quilt and think 'gee, I should post that on my blog' only I didn't actually HAVE a blog.  Or I'd see something wonderful at a quilt show or wherever and want to talk about it - and let's be real here, while our DHs are lovely, supportive partners, their eyes do kind of glass over after about 2 minutes of quilty ramblings.  So - if I post it on a blog then I don't have to watch those eyes roll back up into his head and I'm blissfully unaware that no one really cares about what I'm going on about except me!  WIN-WIN!

Well, I figured out how to post pictures and talk....not bad for a newbie, huh?
